内容記述 | This paper focuses on some patrol vessels that were stranded on a sunken rock while each patrol vessel is chasing a suspected ship in a virtual space generated in a ship-handling simulator. From the point of view of Bridge Team Management (BTM), speech of the captains and crews as they were engaged in the chase have been analyzed in order to take measures to prevent grounding accidents in chasing. The folowings have been verified. The amount of the captains' order and request per unit time in the chase is more than twice as those in usual navigation in a congested trafic water area. Compared with a usual navigation, it means that the captain and crew have to show more effective BTM while they are trying to capture a suspected ship. Many of the captains' speech in the chase are orders or requests for control of their own patrol vessels. They have rarely requested information on the Sunken rock or the depth of water from their crew despite near shallow water area. In other words, they are absorbed in the chase and they have not taken care about the sunken rock. On the other hand, though some of the crew have warned the captain of the sunken rock or the depth of water in front of them, the captain has rarely listened to those warning and he or she has continued the chase. However when a proposal on cotrol of their patrol vessel is given to the captain from the crew to avoid the sunken rock, the captain has briefly stop chasing and has accepted the proposal. Compared with some warnings, a proposal from a crew can call to the captain's attention to a dangerous which they face and that will be able to prevent a serious accident which may happen in chasing. |
